Web16 nov. 2014 · I'm afraid the only ( do it yourself ) way is to take the inside panel off, get small pliers and grab the spinning anchor, spray the snot out of it with lube and try to remove the bolt. Its a royal PITA, but had to be done as I was selling the vehicle and had to take the plate off. Your other option.........

Drill a hole to thread the anchor through the mounting plate to latch onto the aluminum frame just past the bumper hole (sorry no picture). Tighten the screw that clamps it tight (not too tight).
