WebJun 22, 2008 · 822 Posts. #22 · Jun 10, 2008. I was recently in the same boat, Ultra or Goldwing. The wing is a great bike. Fast, reliable, well built, comfy, etc. The Ultra is a great bike too. Great styling, easy to work on, well built, virtually no plastic, and feels like a motorcycle. I was looking at buying a 2008 model of one of those 2 bikes. WebNov 7, 2011 · Traded my 2007 Ultra Classic for a 2012 Ultra Blue Level 2 Wing. Best move I ever made. Not that the Harley was or had major problems but IMO the GL1800 is a better bike. At my age (55) my wife and I ride a lot together, we really enjoy each other's company so for long hauls comfort, reliablility and performance are important issues.

WebAug 21, 2008 · Actually from my experience of cost to maintain, ease to work on and repair if any problems arise the award goes to Harley for getting back on the road the quickest, less down time and reliability at less cost.
